PROJECTS PROMOTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

• Anticipated to generate over $2 million in sales tax revenue for the state and local government

• Create and support jobs across the state

• Catalyze local investment. Each dollar invested by the state is matched 2:1 by the projects to create $30 million total investment

ABOUT HERITAGE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND

• Established by a statutory authority in 1995 (WAC 255-02-010 & RCW 27.34.330)

• Over the life of the program, the state has invested over $100 million to support 400 projects. These projects have been matched by $200 million in local and private investment

• Projects are chosen after rigorous state-wide competition

• Each project is vetted by a panel of professionals and leaders from disciplines including economic and community development, heritage and historic preservation, and architecture
